Workgroup
Live Herring -workgroup aims to bring net art more visible and to get people to know net art more closely by producing and organizing workshops and exhibitions (expecially screenings), developes new ways to show net art and seeks for new venues for net art.
Live Herring workgroup started working by organizing the Live Herring Nordic Net Art event in 2005 and the second event was organized the very next year 2006. In 2007 the Live Herring work group continued it’s work by organizing open-to-all workshops (for example workshop Bazaar of Banalities of media artist Outi Kotala) and by organizing art- and media lectures. In 2008 there was 3rd Live Herring media art exhibition organized in Jyväskylä art museum.
From the beginning of year 2009 The Arts Council of Central Finland nominated Live Herring working group (Päivi Hintsanen, Ilkka Kuukka and Soile Ollikainen) as regional artist of film and media-art.
